The Learning Choice Academy offers two different instructional modes for 2011-2012. Both our Homeschool (Choice) and Online programs offer the high quality Personalized Learning approach to education.

Choice:

With our "traditional" Homeschool program, a credentialed teacher works in partnership with the family to support learning at home. The parent and student meet regularly with their Partner at one of our four TLC Centers. Weekly classes are held at the centers for student enrichment or special tutoring assistance.

Online:

TLC Academy offers a unique Online Program. It is not a "packet" distance-learning program, but a blend of our high quality homeschool curricula and lessons with the convenience of Online assignments and meetings. Instead of meeting at one of the TLC Centers, meetings are held through teleconferencing (a web camera with microphone is provided if the home computer does not have one). Students may attend various high school "classes" for assistance or attend the online Study Hall for additional tutoring.

With both Choice and Online programs:

• Students and their families may participate in all of the fun, educational school activities such as field trips, assemblies and special events.
• Each family will have a credentialed teacher as their Educational Partner
• Students receive allocated units to pay for remedial or enrichment programs.
